Morning! As part of my PhD research I am spending the next 2 months in Burkina Faso asking people about migration and climate. The aim is to gain information that will be useful in creating a computer simulation of how climate affects migration of Burkinabé people. Thankfully my friend Mike is coming along and will make the work more of an adventure. The purpose of this blog is to keep anyone (you) updated and to remind me what we did during the 2 months away. Departure is 13th Jan…
Hey,
ReplyDeleteGood to see you're still going strong! I am really regret missing out on the whole bicycle adventure. On the other hand, it might have been demotivating for you to try to follow a Dutchman on his bike. Take care,
ruud
Hi Chris,
ReplyDeleteI'm greatly enjoying your blog (relieves the tedium of doing corrections!) Good luck with this next phase of the project and don't ride too close to elephants!

hey Chris,
ReplyDeleteglad to hear you're still out there and haven't been eaten by crocodiles. it sounds as if you are getting stuff done too, which is impressive. I know you're out in the bush now, and missed sending some kind of supportive email before you went - but I'm thinking supportive thoughts in an easterly direction. have fun!
